Matched Journeys

When a host family opportunity is set to “matched,” they will enter the two matched email journeys. The first journey consists of a single email, and the second journey sends a monthly newsletter until they exit the journey. Host families will exit these journeys when their opportunity stage is set to “ready.” They will also exit the journey if the opportunity is marked as “closed lost,” if they unmatch, or if they unfinal.

Purpose and Aim of the Communications

The goal of these journeys is to celebrate the match with the family, provide them with information about the next steps, and help them prepare for life with their au pair. We want to set families up for success, so we’ve designed these emails to ensure they understand what comes next, offer advice from other successful host families, and inspire them to build a relationship with their au pair before arrival.

Matched Emails

The first matched journey is triggered when a host family’s opportunity stage is set to “matched” and sends a single email. There are three versions of this email (one for overseas au pairs, extension au pairs, and rematch au pairs), so depending on the type of au pair the host family is welcoming, they will receive slightly different content.

DAY 1 - On opportunity stage Matched

Matched Newsletter Emails

Host families enter the matched newsletter journey when their opportunity stage is set to “matched” or “ready,” and their au pair’s arrival is more than 14 days away. They will remain in this flow until one of the following conditions is met: their au pair’s arrival is less than 14 days away, the opportunity is closed-lost, or they unmatch. While in this flow, they will receive a newsletter on the 3rd of each month, which includes advice from other host families and recommendations for ways to connect with their future au pair.
