Who we are

Cultural Care Kids First Foundation, or Kids First as we like to call it, is a non-profit 501(c)3 public charity that draws on the strength of the global community of Cultural Care Au Pair, to provide resources to support organizations that strive to make a lasting difference in the lives of children in need within the countries our au pairs come from.

Since 2011, we have helped 164 organizations within 22 countries.

To maximize impact, 100% of all funds raised and donated go directly to organizations that provide direct care to children in need. And, every dollar raised goes even farther because Cultural Care Au Pair matches all donations, dollar for dollar, and covers administrative costs of the program.

What we do

Fundraise | The entire Cultural Care community helps to raise funds by holding events in support of Kids First.

Give grants | Our grants support children’s organizations that are important to our staff, LCCs, au pairs, and host families.

Volunteer | The Cultural Care community gives time locally and globally to children’s organizations who need hands-on help.

Recent grant projects

• Built a STEM School in South Africa: In partnership with Molo Mhlaba, we built and furnished an all-girls STEM school, providing high-quality, affordable education to girls in one of the most underserved communities.

• Created an urban garden in Mexico: With Casa Alianza Mexico, we created a fruit and vegetable garden to teach teens valuable caretaking skills and provide fresh produce in a sanctuary of green space.

• Establishing a new dental clinic in Mexico: Starting a clinic in Chan Chen with Global Dental Relief to offer free dental care and oral health education to 1,400 children.

• Feeding kids in Colombia: In support of Compassion Kitchens and Fundacion Alimentar Colombia, we are recovering surplus food and feeding 2,800 kids every weekday in Colombia.

• Making two foster houses feel like home in Brazil: Enhancing two residential care centers with new furnishings and a library, creating a nurturing environment for children at Santa Fé Beneficent Association.

We invite you to organize a fundraiser in your local office or community! From charity ride spin classes to flea markets and bake sales, your ideas can make a big impact. Reach out to us at kidsfirst@culturalcare.com and we can help you plan an event that supports Kids First! We also provide custom marketing materials and flyers to help make your events a success.
